Sr. Aida Badillo
Sr. Aida was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the mainland in 1958. She began looking at another order to become a missioner; however, she was not able to participate due to an age limit. Eventually, Sr. Aida’s spiritual director, Sr. Jeanette (who has since passed away), saw an ad from the Glenmary Sisters about their need for bilingual women to serve in the Lay Missioners Program. Sr. Aida was accepted to the program in 1997, however, she returned to Puerto Rico for five years. She returned to the Glenmary community in late 2005 and served in the Millen, GA mission until becoming a Candidate.
Sr. Aida renewed her vows with the Glenmary Sisters on April 9, 2010 and is currently missioned in Millen, GA.
